Finding his corner
Louie met Gordon Charlesworth through boxing sessions at the University of Essex in Colchester. The partnership became central to his development, from his early amateur contests to the professional ring.
An amateur foundation
In 2019, Louie won the Eindhoven Box Cup at under 64kg. In April 2022, representing Halstead and Essex Uni, he beat Mitchell Asare by unanimous decision to win the England Boxing National Amateur Championships at under 63.5kg.
Wearing the England vest
Selected for England at the 2022 GB Elite Three Nations in Cardiff, Louie reached the under-63.5kg final after a unanimous-decision win over Wales’ Dafydd Jones. He finished with silver, losing the final to Scotland’s Luke Bibby.
Into the professional ranks
Louie turned professional in May 2023. His first year culminated in a Southern Area title win against Marley Mason; a defence against Jeff Ofori followed in May 2024.
The championship years
Victories over Youssef Khoumari and Regan Glackin brought English and British lightweight titles in 2025. In May 2026, Louie defeated Ahmed Hatim over 12 rounds in a British and Commonwealth title contest.
