Louie O'Doherty reached the summit of British lightweight boxing with a tenth-round stoppage victory over previously undefeated Regan Glackin at Glasgow's Braehead Arena.

Two unbeaten fighters entered the ring.

Only one left with the Lonsdale belt.

O'Doherty travelled north to face Glackin in front of the Scot's home support and steadily took control of the contest, applying pressure and increasing his output as the championship rounds approached.

With O'Doherty firmly on top late in round ten, Glackin's corner threw in the towel.

Louie O'Doherty was the new British lightweight champion.

The victory completed a remarkable progression through the domestic ranks:
